Welcome to the 2025 TRUE NORTH Senior Mixed Bonspiel!
This year’s Abbotsford Senior Mixed Curling Bonspiel is a celebration of Canadian curling tradition, maple leaf pride, and the camaraderie that makes our sport great. This bonspiel captures everything we love about being Canadian curlers: the grit and grace on the ice, the warmth and laughter off it, and the pride we take in our northern heritage.
Think classic Canadiana meets competitive spirit – plaid and maple leaves, hard sweeping and harder celebrating, and that uniquely Canadian combination of fierce competition and genuine friendship. This isn’t just a bonspiel—it’s a heartfelt toast to our heritage, community, curling, and the True North strong and free.
Curling is an excellent activity for seniors—improving balance, coordination, strength, and flexibility while challenging strategic thinking and teamwork skills. It’s also a wonderful way to socialize and connect with fellow curlers from across our community.
Eligibility & Team Composition
This bonspiel is open to curlers 50 years of age or older. Teams should ideally be balanced with 2 women and 2 men, although 3 women and 1 man is acceptable. Players may be positioned in any order—alternating by gender is not required. Teams will be assigned to either Group A (early draws) or Group B (late draws).
