About Us
The Chilliwack Curling Club was formed in 1952, back when local curlers had to travel to the Vancouver Curling Club just to get games in. Funds were raised through selling debentures and, with help from CFB Chilliwack, built the first club as a three-sheet facility. Growth came fast: a fourth sheet followed in 1953, and in 1961 the original building was replaced with a new six-sheet club on the same site. During the 1960s, bonspiels got so popular the neighbouring Coliseum was regularly brought into service to handle the crowds.
In 1988, the club expanded again, adding a larger lounge and dance floor upstairs, along with improved locker rooms, offices, and food service space downstairs. A major milestone came in July 2017, when the City of Chilliwack committed funding for a new Chilliwack Curling Club and Community Centre, which opened in November 2018. The club continues to operate and maintain the curling facility within a building designed to support both curling and community use throughout the year.
On the competitive side, the club has hosted many regional, provincial, and national championships, and we’re proud to keep building on that tradition as new competitive opportunities come along. Day-to-day, our focus is making curling accessible and social through leagues, programs, and bookable ice time.
Off the ice, we’re also a community gathering place. Our banquet halls and meeting rooms are available to rent for events, supported by on-site food service through the 9th End Café, which is open to the public.

Our Commitment
As a non-profit, member-supported club, we’re committed to maintaining a welcoming environment, strong programs, and a facility that serves both curlers and the broader community. We take pride in being easy to join, easy to book, and easy to enjoy.
Thank you for supporting the Chilliwack Curling Club.
