Our Open Social Leagues are designed for curlers who want to combine the sport with a relaxed, welcoming social atmosphere. Participants range from newer curlers to those with more experience, and both stick delivery and traditional delivery from the hack are fully welcome. Games are typically scored, but scoring is optional, and wins and losses are not recorded.
If you’re registering as an individual or a couple and don’t have a full team, we’re happy to help! Just let us know, and we’ll do our best to place you on a team. Regardless of which night you choose, the focus is on enjoying the game, meeting others, and having fun on the ice.

Who?: This league is open to curlers of all ages and skill levels and wins and losses are not recorded. As an open league, teams can have any combination of men and women and you may register as a team, couple or individual.
Curlers are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes early to get ready and warm up.
Equipment: All equipment that you will need to begin curling is provided by the Abbotsford Curling Club. This includes grippers, step-on sliders, and delivery aides, brooms, or sticks for delivery.
What to Wear: We insist on clean running shoes that you carry into the rink and recommend stretchy pants and layers of shirts and jackets. Some people like to wear gloves but try to choose some that will give you grip on the broom for sweeping.

This league is for teams looking for a fun, social & active night out. We have a large group of men & women returning every season to this mid-week social league. In addition, we generally have 3 seasonal ‘social nights’ to enjoy together in our “9th End Lounge”.
This league is for designated teams and open to all men & women, ages and levels of skill. It is limited to 24 teams with games times at 6pm and 8pm every Wednesday night. You will have a mixture of early and late draw start times. Games will be 1 hour and 45 minutes, 6pm to 7:45pm and 8pm to 9:45pm.
Registration is by team. If you don’t have a team and are interested in playing in this league please contact us for assistance.
